I created the collection 'vapid' from an old door key as inspiration, whilst analysing the key I also looked at all the components associated to the key, such as Doors, Door handles, Key holes etc, through the progression of this project I delved deeper into the shapes of keyholes and discovered that they share a similarity to the human form, but an empty version of it, this feeling of emptiness is one I can relate to as I often feel I am unable to connect with others around me because of the vapid environment we live in with social media everyone lives within a screen creating vapid and self obsessed perfection, making it difficult to connect with other outside of a screen.
